THE TREASURE OF LEMON BROWN / Walter Dean Myers The setting of "The Treasure of Lemon Brown" is in Harlem, a black neighborhood in New York City where Walter Dean Myers grew up in the 1940s. Myers has said, "As a black writer, I want to talk about my people." Nevertheless, the characters he creates and the problems he talks about are interesting for everyone. Make a connection between the above description and the story. Give information from the story to support your answer. OR: 19. COUNT THAT DAY LOST / George Eliot George Eliot lived in the Victorian era and saw many problems in her society. In her writing she tries to make readers sympathetic to other people's difficulties.
